A missal that has been prepared for five hundred years

The First Sunday of Advent will see the introduction of a new missal in the Catholic Church, one that has been in preparation for five hundred years.

Known as Divine Worship: The Missal, it has been handsomely published by the Catholic Truth Society to serve the communities and parishes of the personal ordinariates —structures similar to dioceses, established to provide a home in the Catholic Church for those from the Anglican tradition.

Ordinariate Missal arrives!

A very exciting moment - today I received a copy of the brand new Ordinariate Missal called "Divine Worship" and authorised by the Holy See for use in the Ordinariates from Advent Sunday.

I am so pleased we have a "WHITSUN WEEK". I cannot think why the Whitsun octave was removed from the Calendar for the Novus Ordo. But we have it back now!

And lots of Ember days through the year too!
